Methodology

1.Thematic:
Sectoral information.

2.Indicators:
- Proceedings initiated: within the types of proceedings, a distinction is made between those that include an investigation phase and those that include a prosecution phase.
- Qualifications/Sentences: information is provided on the qualifications made by the Public Prosecutor's Office in the proceedings and the sentences handed down. Within the sentences that have been passed, a distinction is made between acquittals and convictions and, in the latter, a statement is made as to whether they have been reached by agreement or not.
- Withdrawals of charges: this includes those carried out by the Public Prosecutor's Office with respect to the charges it has formulated. A distinction is made as to whether the withdrawal is due to the fact that the victim exercised her right not to testify or whether it was based on a different cause.
- Precautionary measures: this includes the precautionary measures that are adopted with respect to the person who is the object of the proceedings as an investigated or accused person during the processing of the proceedings and until a sentence is passed.
- Enforcement of judgments: these record the sentences essentially imposed in the convictions handed down.
- Nature of the criminal offence: the offences committed are grouped into specific offences. Within each of them, it can be seen how they are present in the qualifications formulated by the Public Prosecutor's Office and in the sentences handed down; in these, in turn, a distinction is made between sentences of conviction by agreement or non-conformity.
- Investigation proceedings: these are criminal proceedings of a pre-procedural nature made available to the Public Prosecutor to facilitate his work of promoting justice and whose purpose is to clarify the facts that constitute their object, carrying out as many actions as are necessary for this purpose, provided that they are not reserved for the judicial authority.
