Protection orders
The structured set of data from the Justice Administration on the phenomenon of gender violence is offered, from the perspective of the impact on the Administration at different levels. The information allows the general and comparative analysis of protection orders, and other measures in the field of gender violence, all referenced geographically, in time series and through other indicators such as age and sex.

1.Thematic:
Litigation.
2.Indicators:
- Firm sentences for crime: final sentences for crimes of
gender violence registered in the Central Registry for the Protection
of Victims of Domestic and Gender Violence, according to the date of
finality.
- Measures taken: Measures adopted in proceedings
followed for crimes with a gender victim, according to the date of the
order.
- Penalties and measures: penalties, measures and other
consequences for crimes of gender violence registered in the Central
Registry for the Protection of Victims of Domestic and Gender
Violence, according to the date of firmness.
- Homicide and
completed murders: convictions for the crime of homicide or murder,
with a gender victim, including those committed in the degree of
consummation, according to the final date.
- Victims of
homicides and completed murders: Number of victims of homicides or
consummated murders, according to the resolution date. It does not
always coincide with the number of judgments or cases. There are cases
with more than one victim.
- Homicides and attempted murders:
convictions for the crime of homicide or murder, with a gender victim,
including those committed in an attempted degree, according to the
final date.
- Victims of homicides and attempted murders: Number
of victims of homicides or attempted murders, according to the
resolution date. It does not always coincide with the number of
judgments or cases. There are cases with more than one victim.

Protection orders: protection orders granted under art. 544 ter Lecrim
in procedures followed with a gender victim, according to the date of
the order.

The information covers the entire national territory. Data is
published at the national level, by Autonomous Community, province and
judicial district.
4.Application bodies:
Judicial bodies.
5.Time coverage:
Information on a daily basis, with data available from 2015.
6.Data update:
Data is updated on a daily basis.
7.Normalization processes:
Functional units and geographic data are standardized in
accordance with the CTEAJE Technical Standard (reference standard for
IT tools in the field of the Administration of Justice).
8.Adjustment:
No seasonal adjustment, time series decomposition or
similarmethods are performed.
9.Source:
Data are obtained from information recorded in theIntegrated
System of Administrative Records to support the Administration
ofJustice (SIRAJ).
