Methodology

1.Topic:
Socioeconomic analysis.

2.Indicators:
- In active service: total number of judges, Supreme Court magistrates who are in active service, in other words, when they occupy their corresponding place in the Judicial career, when they find themselves provisionally assigned, when they have been appointed associate judge, or when they have been granted a temporary service commission. 
- Average age: average age of judges, magistrates and Supreme Court magistrates in an active service situation. 
- Women: total number of female judges, magistrates and Supreme Court magistrates in an active service situation, in other words, when they occupy their corresponding place in the Judicial career, when they find themselves provisionally assigned, when they have been appointed associate judge, or when they have been granted a temporary service commission. 
- Average age of women: average age of female judges, magistrates and Supreme Court magistrates in an active service situation. 
- Men: total number of male judges, magistrates and Supreme Court magistrates in an active service situation, in other words, when they occupy their corresponding place in the Judicial career, when they find themselves provisionally assigned, when they have been appointed associate judge, or when they have been granted a temporary service commission.
- Average age of men: average age of male judges, magistrates and Supreme Court magistrates in an active service situation. 
- Average seniority: average number seniority years in the Judicial career of judges, magistrates and Supreme Court magistrates who are in active service. 

3.Geographic area:
The information covers the entire national territory. Data is published on national, Autonomous Communities and provincial levels. 

4.Enforcement agencies:
Judicial Organs.

5.Temporary coverage:
Information on an annual basis, with data available from 2019.

6.Data update:
The data will be updated annually.

7.Standardisation processes:
We will proceed with the normalisation of the functional units and geographic data according to the Technical Regulation of the CTEAJE (regulation of reference for the IT tools in the Administration of Justice field). 

8.Adjustment:
No type of seasonal adjustment, decomposition of temporary series or similar methods is carried out.
