Judicial Statistics in Spain is a competence attributed by the Organic Law of the Judiciary to the National Judicial Statistics Commission, an autonomous body made up of the Ministry of Justice, the General Council of the Judiciary, the Autonomous Communities with transferred powers and the State Prosecutor's Office, with the participation, collaboration and support of the National Statistics Institute.

With this public, official and open space on Judicial Statistics, both the provisions of Royal Decree 1184/2006 of 13 October and of the Judicial Transparency Plan of 2003, are in line with the scenario of co-governance in justice, aimed at offering citizens and public authorities uniform, high-quality judicial statistics.

The National Judicial Statistics Commission is responsible for the preparation, execution and public presentation of the National Judicial Statistics Plan currently referring to the period 2021-2024, as well as the Annual Statistical Plans, which will be reflected and updated in this space. Since the creation of the CNEJ, the task of compiling and processing Judicial Statistics has been carried out by the General Council of the Judiciary, with the guidelines of the National Judicial Statistics Commission and in accordance with the mandate of the 2nd Transitory Provision of Royal Decree 1184/2006 of 13 October. This activity can be consulted on the CGPJ's Judicial Statistics Portal.

The areas of information and statistical data of the National Judicial Statistics Plan 2021-2024, the work and statistical contributions of the General Council of the Judiciary, the Ministry of Justice, the State Prosecutor's Office, the competent Autonomous Communities and the National Statistics Institute, will be progressively incorporated into the Justice Data Portal in an accessible, transparent, open and reusable format.
