Methodology

1.Topic:
Socioeconomic analysis.

2.Indicators:
- Inquiries: total number of inquiries handled by the Toxicology Information Service (SIT). 
- Women: total number of inquiries made by women and handled by the Toxicology Information Service (SIT).
- Men: total number of inquiries made by men and handled by the Toxicology Information Service (SIT).
- Age range: most frequent age of intoxicated people. 
- Route of entry: % of the most frequent route of entry in the intoxication inquiries. 
- Etiology: % of the most frequent etiology in the intoxication inquiries. 
- Type of product: % of the most frequent type of product in the intoxication inquiries.

3.Geographic area:
The information covers the entire national territory. Data is published on national, Autonomous Communities and provincial levels. 

4.Enforcement agencies:
National Toxicology and Forensic Science Institute (INTCF).

5.Temporary coverage:
Information on a daily basis, with data available from 2021.

6.Data update:
The data will be updated annually.

7.Standardisation processes:
We will proceed with the normalisation of the functional units and geographic data according to the Technical Regulation of the CTEAJE (regulation of reference for the IT tools in the Administration of Justice field). 

8.Adjustment:
No type of seasonal adjustment, decomposition of temporary series or similar methods is carried out.
